The Lucid Air Grand Touring range test shows how efficient and refined this luxury EV is in real-world use. With its sleek design and dual-motor all-wheel drive, the Grand Touring sits at the center of Lucid’s lineup. It combines speed, luxury, and range in one elegant package.

This version offers 819 horsepower and uses a large 112 kWh battery. Our tests followed standard procedures under steady conditions. The ambient temperature remained at 13°C, which is a bit cooler than optimal.

At 60 km/h, the Lucid Air Grand Touring delivered outstanding efficiency. Thanks to its size and aerodynamic design, it theoretically reached a range of 1,000 km. That number is not practical, of course—no one drives at 60 km/h non-stop for 17 hours. Still, it proves how well-optimized the powertrain and battery are.

At 90 km/h, energy use increased only slightly. This speed better represents daily driving, and the car maintained its efficiency. It’s clear that long road trips are a strength of this model. The smooth aerodynamics and large battery work together impressively.

Even at 130 km/h, the Air Grand Touring continued to perform well. It used slightly more power than a Tesla Model S with a smaller battery. Despite that, it still managed a range of over 500 km at highway speeds. That distance is more than most drivers cover without a break, making the Lucid ideal for long drives.

Cabin noise was also part of our test. At lower speeds, the interior was nearly silent. Wind and tire sounds entered the cabin at higher speeds, but they were minimal. The driving experience remained calm and quiet throughout.

Build quality further enhances comfort. The materials inside the cabin feel premium. Surfaces are solid, with no rattles or creaks. Lucid’s attention to detail matches what you’d expect in a top-tier luxury sedan.

Lucid blends efficiency, range, and performance in a way that rivals—and sometimes beats—legacy brands. Mercedes and BMW might lead in reputation, but Lucid is making a bold statement. Its huge battery and low consumption make the Air Grand Touring a standout.

If you want maximum range from a single charge, this car should be on your list. But it also offers a high-end driving experience, quiet interior, and powerful acceleration.

Stay tuned for our full review of the Lucid Air Grand Touring. In the meantime, use the range calculator widget below. You can explore real-world range estimates based on speed and temperature—using data from our tests.
