The 2027 Zeekr 7X has been spotted arriving at dealerships in China ahead of its official release, offering an early look at the electric SUV’s latest update.
The changes centre on a larger battery option, additional cabin equipment and revised software. Zeekr has previously indicated a fourth-quarter 2026 introduction in China, although final pricing and a complete specification list remain outstanding.
The update comes as the 7X faces strong competition from electric SUVs including the Tesla Model Y, Xiaomi YU7 and Li Auto models.
New 85kWh Battery Option Leads the Changes
The most significant announced development is an 85kWh battery, increasing capacity compared with the existing 75kWh entry-level option.
That represents an additional 10kWh, or approximately 13% more nominal capacity. However, a larger battery does not establish an equivalent increase in driving range, which also depends on efficiency, vehicle weight and other factors.
Reports differ on whether the new pack will replace the 75kWh version outright or expand the available line-up. Zeekr’s final launch announcement should clarify the model structure.
Official range and charging figures for the 85kWh configuration have not yet been disclosed. Buyers will therefore need to wait before comparing its long-distance capability with existing versions.
Entry-Level Motor Listed at 496 Horsepower
Chinese licensing information points to a 370kW motor, equivalent to approximately 496hp, for the rear-wheel-drive configuration associated with the update.
The all-wheel-drive model is expected to retain a 103kWh NMC battery and a dual-motor powertrain producing approximately 784hp. Those specifications remain expectations ahead of the complete launch details.
The reported line-up would give the 7X a substantial performance offering across both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.

Cabin Update Adds Front-Seat Comfort Features
Inside, the refreshed Zeekr 7X is reported to receive power-operated leg rests for both front occupants, alongside new upholstery.
The changes place greater emphasis on comfort without suggesting a complete redesign of the cabin.
The SUV also gains Zeekr OS 7.5, accompanied by an updated centre control hub. Detailed information about the software’s functions and availability across trims has yet to be published.
A CDC electromagnetic damping system is also listed among the improvements. The suspension equipment is intended to improve ride control and comfort, although its effect will require assessment in the finished vehicle.
Together, the changes suggest Zeekr is concentrating on everyday usability as well as battery capacity.
Expected Price Rises to RMB 239,800
The incoming 85kWh version is expected to cost approximately RMB 239,800, compared with the existing Chinese-market starting price of RMB 229,800.
If confirmed, that would represent an increase of RMB 10,000, or about 4.4%.
The report’s approximate dollar conversions place those prices at $33,650 and $32,250, respectively. These are currency equivalents of Chinese prices, rather than announced prices for export markets.
Zeekr has not confirmed the estimate, and the final equipment packages could affect how the new model compares with its predecessor.
Another Update in a Competitive SUV Market
The latest changes follow an earlier 7X update introduced in 2025, illustrating the pace of development in China’s electric SUV segment.
For Zeekr, the model is an important part of its domestic and overseas business. Improving battery choice, cabin comfort and software could help sustain its appeal as competing manufacturers refresh their own vehicles.
Dealer arrivals suggest preparations for the Chinese launch are progressing. The remaining details include confirmed pricing, trim availability, certified range and charging performance for the 85kWh version.
The reported specifications concern the Chinese-market vehicle; availability and equipment for other markets will depend on separate regional announcements.
