Pre-2026 EVs Are Still Filling Dealer Lots, Expect Price Cuts

As we approach 2026, dealers are still looking to clear Pre-2026 EVs from their lots. Vehicles like the BMW i4, Genesis GV60, and Volkswagen ID.4 are topping the list for leftover inventory. As a result, buyers can expect attractive discounts on these older models as dealers make space for newer versions.

Why These EVs Offer Great Savings for Buyers

Even with the federal EV incentive no longer available, Pre-2026 EVs present an excellent opportunity for savings. Dealers are eager to sell older stock, meaning buyers can score great deals. According to a recent iSeeCars study, the Genesis GV60 and the Dodge Charger are among the Pre-2026 EVs with the highest leftover inventory, making them prime candidates for discounts.

Although 2025 models won’t see the same deep cuts as their 2024 counterparts, they are still offered at attractive prices. Vehicles like the BMW i4 and Porsche Macan remain abundant, allowing room for negotiation.

The Best EVs with Leftover 2024 and 2025 Inventory

From 2024 models, the Genesis GV60 leads in leftover stock. Other vehicles with considerable inventory include the Chevrolet Silverado EV and GMC Hummer EV SUV. As 2026 models approach, Pre-2026 EVs like these are becoming even more desirable for buyers looking to get a deal before the new models arrive.

For the 2025 model year, the BMW i4 and Porsche Macan top the list, with Pre-2026 EVs still making up a large portion of dealer lots. These vehicles are likely to see price adjustments as dealers seek to move them.

Discontinued Models Offer Even Bigger Price Cuts

For those interested in Pre-2026 EVs, discontinued models can offer even deeper discounts. Cars such as the Audi Q8 E-Tron and Mercedes-Benz EQB are no longer available for purchase in the U.S., making them excellent options for buyers seeking savings. Dealers will be more motivated to move these cars quickly, offering larger price reductions as a result.

“The end of the year is always a good time to buy,” said Karl Brauer, iSeeCars executive analyst. With leftover Pre-2026 EVs still filling dealer lots, this is the ideal time to negotiate and get a great deal on an electric vehicle.

Pre-2026 EVs like the BMW i4 and Volkswagen ID.4 continue to fill dealer lots, offering significant savings before the 2026 models arrive. Now’s the perfect time to shop for a great deal on these electric vehicles.
