Leapmotor Launches Updated 2026 C10 SUV Starting at $17,040
Chinese EV maker Leapmotor has officially launched the refreshed 2026 C10 SUV, offering both battery electric (BEV) and extended-range electric (EREV) variants. The updated five-seater SUV enters the market with a highly competitive starting price of RMB 122,800 (approx. $17,040)—a 4.66% drop compared to its predecessor.
Deliveries of the new C10 begin May 20, with a public showcase planned for the Hong Kong Auto Show in June.
BEV & EREV Options with Enhanced Specs
The 2026 C10 BEV is available in three versions, priced at RMB 122,800, RMB 132,800, and RMB 142,800. These come with two motor configurations:
- 170 kW (0–100 km/h in 7.29 seconds)
- 220 kW (0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds)
Battery options include 69.9 kWh and 74.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) packs, supporting CLTC ranges of 530 km and 605 km, respectively.
The EREV version features a 1.5L range-extending engine, paired with a rear 170 kW motor. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 7.68 seconds. It comes equipped with a 28.4 kWh LFP battery offering 210 km of pure electric range, and up to 1,190 km combined range with fuel.
Lower Prices, Same Size, More Tech
The updated C10 maintains the same dimensions as the previous model—4,739 mm (L) x 1,900 mm (W) x 1,680 mm (H) with a 2,825 mm wheelbase. Both the top-tier BEV and EREV trims come fitted with LiDAR, continuing the brand’s push into autonomous-ready tech.
Price reductions are notable:
- BEV base price down RMB 6,000
- EREV base price down RMB 13,000
A Global Push and Growing Demand
Leapmotor began selling the C10 BEV in Europe in late 2024, followed by the EREV rollout in early 2025. The C10 is currently the company’s top-selling model, with 9,756 units delivered in April 2025, representing 24% of Leapmotor’s total sales for the month.
Bottom Line:
The 2026 Leapmotor C10 blends affordability, range, and performance, making it a strong contender in the global mid-size EV SUV market. With expanded global availability and tech upgrades like LiDAR, it’s well-positioned to compete with bigger players in both emerging and mature markets.
