- 2016 – Bordrin was founded by Huang Ximing in Nanjing, China.
- 2018 – Entered a partnership with Torc Robotics, a company based in Blacksburg, Virginia.
- 2019 – Developed three electric SUV platforms:
- i-SP
- i-MP
- i-LP
- 2019 – Formed a partnership with Tianjin FAW Xiali Automobile Co., another Chinese EV company.
- 2019 – Introduced its first vehicle, the Bordrin iV6, featuring an L3 autonomous driving system and a 310mm multimedia touchscreen.
- 2019 – Showcased the Bordrin iV7 at the Shanghai Auto Show.
- 2020 – Economic downturn due to COVID-19 pandemic led to a decline in sales from $33.61 million (2019) to $10.23 million (2020).
