Rising Auto Technology Co., Ltd., trading as Rising Auto (Chinese: 飞凡汽车, Feifan Auto), was an electric vehicle brand by Chinese automobile manufacturer SAIC Motor. Its predecessor, the Roewe R brand (or R Auto), was founded on May 10, 2020. The brand became an independent operation and changed its name to Rising Auto in November 2021. However, in October 2024, it ended its independent operations and was reabsorbed as a high-end product line under Roewe.

History
Rising Auto originated as the R Brand in 2020, a sub-brand of SAIC’s Roewe that focused on new energy vehicles and intelligent vehicle technology. In October 2021, the brand was officially renamed Rising Auto in China, with the English name following shortly after in 2021 to provide a more meaningful global identity.
The brand initially rebadged Roewe models before introducing its first original model, the R7 crossover. The second product in its lineup was the F7 executive sedan.
In November 2024, SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle announced that Rising Auto would be reabsorbed into Roewe, marking the end of its independent existence. It was transitioned into Roewe’s premium electric vehicle lineup.
