The Maxus MIFA 9 is a luxury electric MPV built to combine comfort, technology, and family practicality. Developed by SAIC under the Maxus brand, it offers the flexibility of a seven-seater with the efficiency of an electric powertrain. Its large cabin, refined design, and strong safety profile make it attractive both for family buyers and VIP shuttle operators.

Design and Comfort

The Maxus MIFA 9 stretches 5.27 meters in length, making it one of the largest electric MPVs on the market. With a 3.2-meter wheelbase, it offers generous interior space across three rows. Seating comes in premium trims, featuring Nappa leather, electric sliding doors, panoramic sunroofs, and captain’s chairs in the second row. This design emphasizes comfort, while the wide cabin layout provides space for passengers and luggage without compromise.

Power, Range, and Charging

The Maxus MIFA 9 is powered by a 180 kW motor delivering 245 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Its 90 kWh lithium-ion battery, with 84 kWh usable capacity, provides a real-world range of around 410 km in mild weather and approximately 315 km in cold conditions. Official WLTP estimates range between 430 and 440 km, giving the vehicle strong long-distance capability.

Charging flexibility makes it practical for different needs. Using a DC fast charger, the battery recharges from 36% to 80% in about 36 minutes. With an 11 kW AC home charger, a full charge is possible in roughly 9 hours. These options ensure that the Maxus MIFA 9 adapts both to city use and to longer family trips.

Safety, Performance, and Market Position

The Maxus MIFA 9 accelerates from 0–100 km/h in around 9.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 180 km/h. While performance is respectable, its strongest appeal lies in safety and stability. The model has received five-star safety ratings from multiple agencies, thanks to advanced driver assistance systems including lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking.

Since its debut in 2021, the Maxus MIFA 9 has entered markets in China, Europe, the UK, and Asia-Pacific under different brand names. Pricing begins at the premium MPV range but offers strong value compared to rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz EQV and the Volkswagen ID. Buzz. With its spacious seven-seat layout, fast-charging ability, and high safety standards, the Maxus MIFA 9 positions itself as a benchmark for electric family MPVs.
