History
Dial EV was founded in November 2017 and is based in Weinan, Shaanxi, China. The company was funded by major investors, including Jiangsu Yueda Ventures, IDG Capital, Unicom Tianyi, Alte Automotive, and Huashangtiande.
In 2018, Dial EV constructed a 98-hectare production plant in Weinan with a capacity of 50,000 units per year. The plant was built at a cost of ¥1.97 billion and was completed by the end of 2018. The company announced plans to develop five to six models by 2023, covering A-level, A0 level, A00 level, and other segments of the EV market.
First Vehicle: Dial EV Dmazing (Empire)
Dial EV’s first vehicle, the Empire (originally named the Dial EV Di Xing), was showcased at the 2017 Global Future Mobility Top Forum & International Exhibition and later at the company’s launch event in 2018. The vehicle is a three-door, two-seater SUV built on the 1D platform. The price range for the Empire is between ¥150,000 and ¥200,000.
Second Vehicle: Dial EV Xvista VC3
