Ciwei is a Chinese automobile manufacturer that specializes in developing electric vehicles. The name translates to “Hedgehog.”
History
Ciwei was founded in 2018 and is based in Fujian, China. It operates as a division of Xiamen Sanwu Internet Technology.[2][3] The company was established with assistance from Chery, and it collaborates with Karry for vehicle production.[4][5] Ciwei’s slogan is “Make every drive a good memory.”[6]
The Ciwei Smile was the company’s first vehicle, released in 2018. It is based on the Yudo π3[7][8] and was initially presented under the name Simai’er. The Smile features a 122-horsepower electric motor, a 360-kilometer range, and a top speed of 144 km/h.[9] The vehicle has dimensions of 4350 mm (length) x 1766 mm (width) x 1590 mm (height) with a 2600 mm wheelbase.[10]
The Ciwei EV400 is an electric compact crossover MPV derived from the Karry K60 EV.[11] It is powered by a 51 kWh battery weighing 350 kg. The vehicle measures 4618 mm (length) x 1790 mm (width) x 1780 mm (height), has a 2765 mm wheelbase, and a kerb weight of 1611 kg. The EV400 supports a 10-minute rapid charging time and includes an AI assistant called “Little Hedgehog.”[12][13][14]
