Designers based the new Citroen Ami Buggy on a concept showcased in Paris in 2024. While they removed the rugged tires and roof-mounted light bar, the final model preserves the open-air spirit. Instead of traditional doors, it uses hinged black metal bars, similar to those found on dune buggies. For rainy days, drivers can attach zipped plastic covers, and a retractable sunroof offers even more exposure to the outdoors.

Beneath the bold design, the Citroen Ami Buggy runs on the same electric system as the regular Ami. A compact 8-horsepower motor drives the front wheels and reaches up to 45 km/h, making it ideal for dense city streets. Its 5.5 kWh battery stores enough power to cover 75 kilometers per charge. With a standard 220V outlet, drivers can fully recharge it in about four hours.
